Structure of the Programme

The master’s programme comprises 120 credit points and has a standard duration of four semesters. For half-time students, this is extended to eight semesters. Courses are generally attended during the first three semesters, followed by written exams and your master’s thesis during the fourth semester. You can tailor your course of study and choice of modules to your individual needs. Internships and study abroad programmes may be incorporated on a voluntary basis.

After completion of the programme, your master’s degree can be expanded to include two additional qualifications:

  • You may upgrade from a C-level language to a B-level language
  • You may add one or more C-level languages

In this case, you will generally study for one additional semester (upgrade) or two additional semesters (addition).
